“A Journey Through Spain”
The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle (www.thecot.org) will be performing the final concert in its 29th concert season. Since 1988, Conductor and Artistic Director Lorenzo Muti has led this elite corps of musicians in presenting a well-chosen and unusual repertoire that delights audiences and evokes high praise from critics. This standard of excellence has become the hallmark of the orchestra and has distinguished each succeeding season. Today it is considered one of the finest professional ensembles throughout North Carolina and the Southeast. The fifth and final concert this season titled, “A Journey Through Spain”, will feature the orchestra performing M. de Falla’s “El retablo de maese Pedro (Master Peter’s Puppet Show), and G. Bizet/R.Shchedrin’s Carmen Suite. Guest Artists include Paperhand Puppet Intervention, from Saxapahaw, NC.
